Kathy Burda

Medicare Coach & Certified Pennie Assister

Hello, my name is Kathy Burda. I am a retired registered nurse, graduating from the former Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing.

Throughout my nursing career, I have been involved in the care of the elderly. I was a Parish Nurse for the Episcopal Churches of Schuylkill County and the Administrator of the Marion C. Price Trust Fund for 24 years prior to my retirement. While serving in this role, I assisted the Parishioners with their Medicare options during the Annual Open Enrollment Period.

Now, as our team ventures onward with Aging Allies, I am excited to be part of an expanding health care coaching organization dedicated to assisting those on Pennie (Marketplace) and Medicare insurance.

If you have 8-15 hours per week, call to find out how you can become a trained Medicare Coach or Pennie Assister. We also need office support volunteers.

David Best

Medicare Coach & Certified Pennie Assister

Hello, My Name is David Best and I am one of our Medicare Coaches. I have been part of Dana's team for 5 years and a Medicare Counselor for 15 Years.

A retired teacher, I taught science throughout my career.

I currently volunteer two days a week at Aging-Allies. You can call to schedule an appointment with me at your convenience.

We have an active Advisory Board that offers guidance and advice based on a great variety of professional, life and academic experiences.

The Advisory Board meets every 4-6 weeks and considers how Aging-Allies can stay on track with our mission and vision.
